The advisory council is a group of 14 individuals who identify along the LGBTQ spectrum, and as allies, friends and family of the community. Together, they bring a variety of personal experience and professional expertise - spanning numerous industries - to serve as a sounding board and consultative entity for gaygreetings. The advisory council inspires, advises, challenges and supports gaygreetings. to create products that are reflective of the community it was created to serve. They have committed their time, creativity and resources to ensure gaygreetings. remains a brand we can all be proud of.


Neha Gautam

Neha (she/her) is an educator, film-maker and community organizer. She was born in India and lived in both Ethiopia and Alaska before moving to NYC at the age of 12. Neha earned a dual B.A. in History & International Studies at the City College of New York. She is a documentarian who enjoys bringing visibility to the South Asian diaspora as well as the social movement in and around Queens, NY.


Daniel Leon-Davis

Daniel (he/his) is at the forefront of a progressively shifting mentality that rejects the antiquated discriminatory world-view of predecessors, asserting the human rights of oft-rejected segments of LGBTQ & immigrant communities. As Senior Creative Director at SOZE, a social impact, creative agency, and Russell Simmons' Social Media Director, Daniel spends every day trying to find new ways of using culture to influence the world. He lives in Brooklyn with his husband, Dom, and their 13 year old Jack Russell named Ralph.


Desireé Marshall

Dez (she/her) is a licensed queer POC barber in Brooklyn, NY. After nearly 10 years as a community organizer, she saw a need for the community that other barbershops did not fulfill. By creating a safe space for trans, queer and GNC folks, she provides dope, affordable haircuts. Dez is also a Spoken Word poet. If you're looking for the dynamic combination of a queer woman of color who can give you a dope cut and recite a poem at the same time - she's probably your only option.


Ingrid L.C. Nilsen

Ingrid (she/her) is a Public Relations expert who has worked as PR Director for Patricia Field, Carmen Marc Valvo and others. She is a native New Yorker and graduated from Bard College in the Hudson Valley of New York, where she studied Art History.


Vincent Tran

Vincent (he/his) was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He attended the University of Michigan, where he studied Business & Film. After a short but successful career as an investor on Wall Street, Vincent decided to pursue his interest in entrepreneurship. He joined two startups as the 10th employee and helped lead both companies to their Series A round of Venture Capital funding, and beyond. He is currently working as an Investment Associate for a social venture fund in NYC where he is looking for the next great startup. He is a strong ally of the LGBTQ community and hopes everyone someday will send & receive a gaygreetings. card!

Cheryl James

Cheryl James

Cheryl (she/her) is a commercial litigator at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from NYU and her J.D. from Columbia Law School. Cheryl enjoys competing in triathlons and obstacle course races, and aspires to one day open a non-profit organization focused on preparing minority and low-income students for admission to prestigious colleges & universities.


Dom Leon-Davis

Dom (he/his) is an artist, rugby player and amateur chef who believes that cultures and policy must work together to improve the lives of marginalized populations. Working as a retail professional by day, Dom expresses his creativity through music composition and production in his free time. He is currently learning more about U.S. food systems and the impact real-food scarcity has on community health and wellness. Dom lives in Brooklyn with his husband, Daniel, and their 13 year old Jack Russell named Ralph (#RalphTheDog).


Steph McLeod

Steph (they/their) is a Bay Area bred health policy consultant residing in NYC. They are passionate about transforming the health care system in order to improve access to affordable, high quality and culturally competent care to queer & trans communities of color. In their free time, Steph is an aspiring DJ, foodie, book worm and horror movie connoisseur. They have made a home in Brooklyn with their partner, Kirya, and their 3 year old Jack Russell terrier, Freddy.


Jodie Patterson

Jodie (she/her) is a social activist & advocate for identity, authenticity and the transgender community. She is a beauty entrepreneur and founder of DooBop, and all-natural hair & skincare line, Georgia NY.


Krystle Watler

Krystle (she/her) is currently a Director of New Business at Arnold Worldwide, a full-service advertising agency on a mission to make creativity a business advantage. She is responsible for all business development initiatives for the New York office and has previously served as an Account Executive on a Fortune 50 financial services account and other top accounts. Before transitioning to marketing and advertising, Krystle spent nearly four years in corporate banking in New York and London. She is a proud alumnae of Spelman College where she received, with honors, a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science.

Sefako (she/her) is an interior designer specializing in workplace interiors and material research, and her life goal is to bring design solutions to the everyday citizen. Sefako obtained her Bachelor's degree from Wellesley College and attended Pratt Institute for her Master's. In her spare time, Sefako's creativity is expressed through writing poetry. She is a Brooklynite residing in Harlem.


Keith Leung

Keith (he/his) is the owner of P8per Hearts, a full-service design studio that offers custom wedding invitations. They specialize in digital, offset, letterpress and foil stamping printing and feature unique designs that help captivate the personas of each wedding couple. Keith was born and raised in New York City, where he attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and then the School of Visual Arts, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising. Keith is a long-time resident of the Two Bridges neighborhood.

Cindy (she/her) is a science educator with 20+ years of experience teaching in the Middle and Upper Schools of the Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn, NY. After leaving Berkeley Carroll in 2012, Cindy started a private science tutoring practice called Science to GO. She also works as a researcher and curriculum developer. In her spare time, Cindy can be found swimming in the waters of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, where she lives with her wife of 15 years and three cats.

Lexi (she/her) is a vintage and fashion expert with 10+ years of experience. She is the owner of ALEXANDRA NEW YORK, a showroom in NYC specializing in women's vintage clothing and accessories. She also works as a freelance stylist and consultant.
